We would like some feedback from other states on their processes for districts who do not meet the 1 year timeline for completing corrective actions on a state complaint. 1. What is your timeline and process for notifying the district of actions you will be taking if not met? 2. What actions do you take if the timeline is not met? 3. Do you have a state rule that addresses this? 4. Do you notify the complainant that the corrective actions have not been met or release that information to them if they ask?

We would like to see some examples of district level corrective action plans as they are written in final decisions. Specifically we are interested in looking at language, content and specificity in regard to the finding.

One of our state advocacy groups has asked us to share de-identified, redacted data we use as evidence that public agencies are complying with the CAPs that have been put in place. Their rationale is that they have parties calling them with concerns, and in their view, the information they have been given by the state DPO is not sufficient enough. Has anyone had similar experiences?

Our monitoring team is thinking about including complaint information in our discussions to inform our professional learning and support for LEAs.  However, we do not have a very good database for our complaint system, so we are trying to think about the most efficient way to summarize this information so we can effectively support LEAs. Has anyone been involved with incorporating this type of data into their monitoring systems?  It would be really helpful to hear your process and whether the state and the LEAs have found the resulting support beneficial.
