Trisha specializes in offering expertise and professional services to school districts, charter schools, non-profit organizations, advocacy groups and families to address the individualized needs of special education students by providing mediation, facilitation of IEP meetings, training/professional development and consultation. Ms. Bergin-Lytton is a sole-proprietor female business owner with headquarters located in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area. She is highly regarded as an IDEA-knowledgeable professional extremely skilled in conflict resolution who assists teams to work collaboratively in developing realistic solutions in an effective, creative and timely manner. Since 1974, Trisha has worked with special needs students and their families within school districts and agency settings in a number of capacities: special education teacher, special education administrator, in-patient rehabilitation treatment center director of adolescent educational services, judicial truancy project director, community college instructor, mediator, facilitator, trainer and consultant. In 1990, Trisha began independently offering customized services to clients by assessing their individual needs, suggesting service options and then delivering guidance and support to successfully address their current challenges, resulting in quality solutions. By 1993, Trisha completed her 40-hour basic mediation training in Texas and through March 2011 has provided over 560 Alternative Dispute Resolution services dealing with extremely challenging multi-party situations, primarily with school district special education departments, but also with governmental and judicial agencies. Ms. Bergin-Lytton has presented skill-building workshops about the Facilitated IEP process and Special Education mediations at a number of state level and national conferences.
